ABOUT SANA PRIMARY CARE
At Sana, we believe everyone deserves easy access to care and support navigating the healthcare system. That’s why Sana Primary Care is included in your health plan at no cost to you. For simple to complicated issues, use Sana Primary Care instead of urgent care or primary care office visits. We’ll order tests, prescribe and refill medications, recommend ways to feel better, and even arrange visits and procedures with local specialists if necessary.
We’re the easiest way to get full-service care. Our experienced doctors are available to you within minutes — no appointment necessary. You’ll always work with the same Sana Primary Care team because having a team who knows you is priceless.
HOW IT WORKS
Your care team works with you entirely online. When you need care, just log in to Sana and create a request. Write as many details as possible, and attach photos or files as needed. Your doctor will get back to you within the hour with questions, followed up by a treatment plan. For anything from a UTI to pneumonia to a frightening new lump — your team will work with you for as long as it takes until you’re back on your feet.
You have a consistent team of experts. Your team includes your own personal doctor and nurse practitioner who care for you, care navigators to act as guides and concierges on your behalf when you need local care, care managers to organize everything if you have a complicated situation, and a Sana Benefits expert who knows the ins and outs of your plan.
No matter your medical condition, our team is here for you every step of the way.
After you leave a traditional doctor visit, you’re on your own again. Your doctor isn’t available if something changes or you develop new symptoms. Not with Sana Primary Care. If anything changes or you have more questions, just reach out.
You can use your team for all of your medical issues, short of an emergency. Don’t worry if you think we can’t diagnose and treat you entirely online. We’ll ask you questions and order labs and imaging as necessary to reach a diagnosis. Most of the time, we can treat you completely online, but if you need to be seen in person, we’ll arrange that local care for you. That way, you’re never trying to figure out what you need on your own.
Sana Primary Care is launching in select Texas markets in the Spring of 2023 for members over the age of 18.

- Sign in to your member portal and select “Sana Primary Care” from your side navigation.
- Create a new Care Request and explain your situation or ask a question.
- Write as many details as possible, and attach photos or files as needed.
- Your care team will start working with you within minutes.
- Your team will work with you for as long as it takes to get you back on your feet.
Providers are available between 9 AM and 5 PM Central. If it’s an emergency, make your way to the ER or dial 911. If your health question or concern can wait and it’s after hours, just send us a message and we’ll get back to you first thing in the morning.
