Your Member ID card is your passport to accessing care. Whether you are waiting for your physical card to arrive in the mail or need to download a digital copy on the go, here is everything you need to know!
How to Access Your Digital ID Card instantly
You don’t have to wait for the mail to view your coverage details. You can view, download, or print a virtual copy of your ID card at any time through your member portal:
Log in to your Sana portal.
On your home page, look under the Member Details section.
Click View ID Card.
Physical Card Mailings & Timelines
Physical ID cards are automatically generated and mailed to the address on file when you first enroll in upcoming coverage.
When will I receive a new card?
Outside of your initial enrollment, a new physical card is automatically triggered and mailed only if your new plan differs in any of the following areas:
Changes to Dependents
HSA compatibility status
Copays (such as specialist or ER visits)
Deductible amounts
Out-of-Pocket Maximum (OOPM) updates
Delivery Timeline
Once a card is triggered by an enrollment or change:
Day 1: Vendor requests are processed daily.
Day 2: Printing occurs.
Day 3: Mailing occurs.
Delivery: You will typically receive your physical cards in the mail 2–5 business days after they are shipped.
ID Cards for Dependents and Families
To keep things streamlined, physical cards are issued with the following rules:
No Individual Cards for Dependents: Dependents do not receive their own unique standalone cards.
Standard Delivery: Each primary member is sent two ID cards that list all covered dependents on them.
Large Families (More than 7 Dependents): If you have more than 7 dependents, Card 1 will list the first 7, and Card 2 will list the remaining dependents.
